Know where to start.
You know something in your operation isn't working. You're firefighting, the tools have multiplied, and the business still runs on you. I help owners of family businesses and SMEs find where to start, then build what fixes it.
Most businesses don't lack effort. They lack a clear place to start.
Systems pile up. Spreadsheets multiply. Knowledge lives in a few people's heads. Leaders spend their days solving yesterday's problems instead of building tomorrow's business. More software rarely fixes it. Clarity does.
How I work
Understand. Build. Make it stick.
Understand
We start with a conversation, then a short diagnostic that maps your operation and names where to start. Nothing gets built until we both own the problem.
Build
I put in what the business needs, in the right order: the plan, the process, the measures, then the technology.
Make it stick
I stay until your team runs it without me, and I stay a call away after that.
What I do
The whole management system, not just the software.
Strategy and Planning
Clear plans and stage-gated workflows that turn priorities into executed work.
People and Performance
Clear roles, goals and regular reviews, run through a performance management system that grows your people, not just measures them.
Quality and Compliance
Quality manuals, ISO-ready documentation and audit-ready finance, so the business runs on process, not memory.
Systems and Technology
ERP, CRM and project-management rollouts, custom software, and automation where it earns its place.
Principles
How I work with you.
Understand it before we fix it.
No engagement starts until the problem is clear and owned on both sides.
Process before tools.
Software won't fix a broken workflow. I fix the flow, then choose the tool.
One source of truth.
Systems of record, not scattered spreadsheets and personal memory.
If it isn't written down, it isn't a process.
Documented procedures outlast any one person.
Built to be used.
A rollout succeeds when the team adopts it, not when it goes live.
It's a relationship.
Senior attention throughout, and a call away after the project ends.
About
Thirty years inside operations.
I'm Brian Kitane. I started in 1995 bringing new production technology onto a manufacturing floor and training the people who would run it. Over three decades I rose to EVP and COO of a 50-year-old Philippine printing company, responsible for sales, finance and production.
I've led ERP, CRM and project-management rollouts that cut production turnaround by an average of 1.5 weeks. I've launched a consumer brand, and today I bring finance, compliance and process discipline to a nonprofit.
I founded Gnarus, Latin for "knowing," to give owners what I wished I'd had early on: someone who has run the operation, and knows where to start.
Contact
Let's talk about where to start.
I take on a small number of engagements at a time. If something in your operation isn't working, start with a conversation. No proposal, no obligation.
